Echo Parks Hello Summer

Hard to believe Summer is winding down.  My kids are already counting down the days until school starts again, and not in a happy way.  I am wondering where the summer went??? It has been a busy summer to say the least.  We moved and are still trying to get settled and I am in the middle of training for a fall marathon.  Every year I say this will be my last marathon and every year I sign up for another...One of these days, I will learn my lesson.  Oh, well for now I will enjoy the end of summer and all the ice cream I can eat.

For my July design team assignment for the Scrapbooking Studio in Bloomington, IL. I was given the Echo Park Hello Summer and October Afternoons 9 to 5.  Today, I will share with you my Hello Summer layout and mini book.   Let me tell you, I love Echo Park Paper Co.  I think they do a great job.  Their paper designers hit the mark with every collection.

First, my Layout titled: Hello Summer

I used Bazzil white card stock as the base.   Then cut 5 5x7 pieces of Echo Parks Hello Summer paper and arranged them around my photo.  The banner top was cut from the, You've been flagged paper, the flower border was cut from the border sheet of paper.  I also used the Chipboard elements and stickers from this collection.  The only other item used was on the left side approximately 4" from the bottom a small piece of October Afternoons 9 to 5 Washi tape.

Now, for my mini book.  I am a mini book girl.  I personally find mini books fun to make.  I also, find them to be a perfect gift so I always have a few on hand.  Sorry the cover didn't photograph well.  The title is plan and simple: Summertime.

Items used: Maya Road Small Watermelon Chipboard book, Echo Parks Hello Summer collection and Bazzill Cardstock.

All items for both projects can be found at the Scrapbooking Studio in Bloomington or Moline, IL.  Hope you have enjoyed these projects.  I will be back to share my October Afternoon 9 to 5 as well as my August projects.  Enjoy your day!
